ICBC offers coverage for most of the recreational vehicles that many of us start to use this time of year, as well as ones that we may be already using. Four-wheelers, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and campers, are a few of the types of recreational vehicles that we carry in our vehicles, or tow behind them, that require an ICBC’s Unlicensed Vehicle Policy.

The coverage you can buy for your car and truck is similar to what you can buy for your recreational vehicle or camper. ICBC offers a variety of deductible choices for collision, specified perils and comprehensive, as well as different liability limits. There is also flexibility in the amount of time you can insure these items. This lets you choose the best expiry date for your personal insurance needs, whether it is coverage for 1 day, or 12 months.

Your home insurance can be extended to cover some of your recreational vehicles, but this coverage is usually quite limited to specific boats, golf carts, etc., and should be clarified with your home insurance carrier. ICBC’s policy will cover all other vehicles not covered by home insurance.
